Grasse has been a centre of perfume-making since the medieval period, and its houses still work with the flowers and plants that grow on the surrounding hillsides. A workshop here is not a tourist demonstration. Participants smell the raw materials, learn how a top, heart and base note work together, and create a small bottle of their own.
The session is led by a perfumer who explains the vocabulary of the trade and the logic of a formula, without requiring any prior knowledge. The group works in a private room, and the workshop can be followed by a visit of the historic perfume museum or a walk through the old town.
The atelier suits a leadership group, a client event or a team reward. It is a calm, tactile activity that gives a company group something concrete to take home.

- Workshops with a perfume house depend on the house's calendar and the perfumer's availability. Dates are confirmed in writing.
- Guests with known allergies to fragrance materials should tell us in advance, so that the formula can be adapted or a different activity proposed.
- Bottles are for personal use. Please check customs rules before carrying a bottle of perfume across an international border.
- The old town of Grasse is hilly, with steep streets. Good walking shoes are recommended.

Do participants need any experience?
No. The workshop is designed for complete beginners. The perfumer explains each step, and the formula is built with the materials most suited to the participant's preferences.
Can the workshop be held in English?
Yes, on request. Some houses can provide a bilingual perfumer or an interpreter. We confirm the language arrangement when the workshop is booked.
How long does the drive from Nice or Cannes take?
Grasse is inland from Cannes and Nice and is reached by car or coach in roughly half an hour to an hour, depending on traffic. Groups usually travel by private coach from the hotel.
