Paris is the home of haute couture, a craft protected by strict professional standards and carried out largely by hand. Behind the boutiques, the ateliers hold the expertise that makes a garment: pattern cutting, draping on the mannequin, embroidery, feather and beadwork, and the many fittings that turn a design into a finished piece.
Visits of couture ateliers are rare and depend entirely on the house. We approach selected maisons and independent ateliers with a clear brief, and propose a visit only where the workshop has agreed to receive guests. The programme usually includes a presentation of the technical vocabulary, a live demonstration of one or two techniques and time to speak with the artisans.
The visit can be combined with a private fitting-room presentation, a lunch in the Marais or a guided walk through the historic district.
目的
- Show guests the craft and precision behind haute couture
- Offer a rare, behind-the-scenes encounter with artisans
- Create a refined experience for clients or top performers
流程
- 1We brief selected couture houses and ateliers on the group profile, numbers and objectives.
- 2Once a house agrees to host, we confirm the date, programme and language of the visit.
- 3Guests are welcomed in the workshop, with a presentation of the house and its methods.
- 4Artisans demonstrate one or two techniques, followed by questions and conversation.
- 5Optionally, a lunch, fitting-room presentation or guided walk is arranged in the district.
注意事項
- Workshops are working spaces with delicate materials; photography is restricted and must be agreed in advance.
- Visits cannot be guaranteed. Houses decide their own openings, and we propose alternatives where needed.
- Groups above about 12 guests are usually split, to protect the workshop and the artisans' time.
- Please avoid bringing bags or items that could catch on fabrics and trims.
參考預算

常見問題
Can we buy a piece during the visit?
Atelier visits are not sales appointments. Any purchase is handled separately, through the house's usual boutique or client advisers, and is not part of the programme.
Do participants need any knowledge of fashion?
No. The visit is designed for curious guests who value craft, whatever their background. The artisans explain each step in plain language.
How long does the process of a couture garment take?
A couture garment can involve many hours of hand work and several fittings, and the timeline varies widely by design. The artisans will explain their process during the visit.
