The châteaux of the Loire were centres of Renaissance court life, where games, music and sport were part of everyday entertainment. This programme recreates that spirit in a team format. Groups play period games such as palet and archery, and jeu de paume where a court is available, with the rules explained by animators who place each game in its historical context.
Availability depends on the château's grounds and calendar. Games are adapted to the group's fitness and age, and scoring is designed so that every team can compete.
