Strasbourg's Gothic cathedral, completed in the Middle Ages and crowned by a stone spire, is one of the landmarks of European architecture, and the old town around it, known as La Petite France, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is also home to the European Parliament, which makes it a natural choice for groups with a European or institutional dimension.
During the Christmas season, the city is at its most distinctive. A guided walk explains the cathedral's sculpture and astronomical clock, then leads through the old town to the market squares, where traditional wooden chalets sell crafts, mulled wine and Alsatian cakes. We arrange a tasting of local specialities, such as flammekueche, bretzels and gingerbread, in a setting suited to the group.
A private dinner in an Alsatian winstub, or a visit to the wine route near Colmar, can be added to the programme.

Yes. The visit is mostly outdoors but short, and the tasting takes place in a heated space. We recommend warm clothing and a plan B indoors in case of heavy rain or cold.
