Paris & Île-de-France
The capital of congresses, with château dinners within an hour
Paris and the Île-de-France region form the main MICE hub in France: two major international airports, the country's largest hotel supply and convention centres at Porte Maillot, Porte de Versailles, La Défense and Villepinte. Heritage sites such as Versailles, Fontainebleau and Chantilly lie 40 to 60 minutes from the capital and can host gala dinners, subject to availability. The French DMC organises everything from a 30-person board meeting to a multi-day convention.
French Riviera
Cannes, Nice and Monaco: congress halls and Mediterranean incentives
The French Riviera combines established congress venues, notably the Palais des Festivals in Cannes and the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, with palace hotels, private villas and sea-facing terraces. Nice Côte d'Azur airport serves the whole coast, and Cannes, Monaco, Antibes and Cap-Ferrat are 20 to 40 minutes away by road. The French DMC runs executive meetings, incentives and gala evenings along the coast, taking into account the dense calendar of international events.
Provence & Marseille
A port city, a university town and the villages of the Luberon
Provence pairs a major port city, Marseille, with Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, the Luberon and the Camargue, all within roughly an hour of each other. Marseille offers congress venues such as Marseille Chanot and the Palais du Pharo, while the countryside provides bastides, vineyards and hilltop villages for seminars and incentives. The TGV links Paris to Marseille in about 3 hours.
Lyon & Rhône Valley
France's gastronomic capital, two hours from Paris by TGV
Lyon is France's third-largest metropolitan area and a reference for gastronomy, set two hours from Paris by TGV. Its Centre de Congrès at the Cité Internationale includes a 3,000-seat amphitheatre, and the historic districts are listed by UNESCO. Normandy offers the closest seaside setting to Paris: Rouen is about 1 h 20 from the capital by train, and Deauville about 2 hours. The Centre International de Deauville hosts conventions, Honfleur, Trouville and Étretat provide character for dinners and incentives, and the Mont-Saint-Michel and the D-Day beaches add major cultural days. The French DMC designs programmes that combine working sessions with these sites.
Megève & Mont Blanc

Megève and Chamonix, at the foot of Mont Blanc in the French Alps, are reached in about an hour from Geneva airport. Megève, a village resort since the 1920s, offers chalet hotels, gastronomic restaurants and a car-free centre; Chamonix adds alpine mountaineering, the Aiguille du Midi cable car and a lively valley. The French DMC organises executive seminars, incentives and winter or summer programmes there.
