MICE capacity
Lille Grand Palais, opened in 1994, combines a congress centre with 28 committee rooms and three theatres, including a Grand Théâtre of up to about 1,475 seats, an exhibition park and a Zénith arena that holds about 7,000 people. The Lille Convention Bureau counts 144 meeting venues for fewer than 250 people, 55 for 251 to 1,000 and 11 for more than 1,000.
On the coast, the Palais des Congrès du Touquet-Paris-Plage has 16 rooms ranging from 20 to 1,156 people, including two auditoriums of 419 and 1,156 seats, and receives 150 to 180 professional events a year. Sources differ on total surface and capacity: we confirm configurations with the venue.
Seasonality
- April to June: mild weather, long days and the best balance for incentives and coastal programmes.
- July and August: warm but moderate temperatures, and the coast is busy; the city is quieter.
- First weekend of September: the Braderie de Lille, a huge flea market that fills hotels and closes streets; avoid for large groups unless that is the aim.
- October to November: pleasant for city programmes and gastronomy.
- December: the Christmas market and year-end events; high hotel demand.
- January to March: cold and often rainy, but good value; ideal for meetings.
