Airport access
Geneva airport (GVA) is the main gateway, about 1 h to 1 h 15 by road from Megève and Chamonix (transfers are subject to traffic and weather). Lyon-Saint-Exupéry is about 2 h 30 to 3 hours away. By rail, TGV services run from Paris to Saint-Gervais-Les Bains-Le Fayet in around 5 hours or more depending on the connection; from there Megève is about 20 minutes by road, and Chamonix is reached by the Mont-Blanc Express train or by road in around 30 minutes. Megève to Chamonix takes about 40 minutes by road. In winter, snow and ice equipment is mandatory on mountain roads, and we plan coaches with experienced drivers.
MICE capacity
Megève and Chamonix are suited to small and mid-sized meetings rather than large conventions: chalet hotels and palaces provide meeting rooms for typically 20 to 150 participants, and hotels can be exclusively booked for a group on request. Chamonix has its own congress facilities and larger venues, whose current capacities are confirmed per brief. For conventions above about 300 people, we recommend combining a plenary in Lyon, Geneva or Annecy with a mountain programme. No capacity figure is given without confirmation from the venue.
Seasonality
Winter runs from mid-December to mid-April, with peak demand at Christmas, New Year and February school holidays; hotels fill early and rates rise. Summer, from late June to September, is a good season for hiking, golf and events with a milder climate. May and November are shoulder months, with many hotels, lifts and restaurants closed for the break. Weather can change quickly at altitude, so alternatives are planned for each outdoor activity.

Frequently asked questions
How far are Megève and Chamonix from Geneva airport?
Both are about 1 hour to 1 h 15 by road in normal conditions. Winter traffic and snow can lengthen the transfer. We plan private coaches and meet-and-greet at arrivals.
What group size suits Megève and Chamonix?
These resorts suit groups of about 20 to 150 for meetings and incentives. Hotels can be exclusively booked for a group on request. For larger conventions, we combine a plenary in Lyon, Geneva or Annecy with mountain days.
When is the best time for a seminar in the mountains?
Winter, from mid-December to mid-April, and summer, from late June to September, are the main seasons. Many hotels close in May and November. Hotel availability and rates are tightest at Christmas, New Year and February.
Do participants need to ski?
No. We design winter programmes with alternatives such as snowshoeing, sleigh rides, spa sessions and mountain-restaurant lunches. Ski instructors and guides are arranged for those who ski.
How do you manage weather and safety at altitude?
We work with certified mountain guides and check forecasts and avalanche bulletins. Every outdoor activity has an indoor or lower-altitude alternative, and cable-car excursions depend on conditions. Participants receive clothing advice in advance.
Can we combine Megève with Lyon, Annecy or Switzerland?
Yes. Annecy is about an hour away, Geneva about 1 h 15, and Lyon 2 h 30 to 3 hours. We organise multi-site programmes with the appropriate transfers and, for Switzerland, remind guests of identity-document requirements.
