Biarritz has been a surfing destination since the early twentieth century, and its beaches offer waves suited to beginners as well as more experienced surfers. A team session starts on the sand with a safety briefing and technique, then continues in the water, with instructors supporting each small group. The challenge is practical: standing up, keeping balance and encouraging one another.
Sessions go ahead only when conditions are suitable. The Basque coast can change quickly, so the schedule is confirmed on the day, and a land-based alternative is prepared.

- Wetsuits and boards are supplied; participants bring a towel and sun protection

No. The programme is designed for beginners, while more experienced participants can work on turns and paddling technique.
What happens if the sea is unsafe?
Sessions are rescheduled when conditions are unsafe, and a land-based alternative is proposed to keep the programme on track.
Can the session be combined with a seafood lunch?
Yes. Biarritz and the surrounding coast have a range of restaurants, and menus can be adapted to dietary needs.
