Biarritz has been a surfing destination since the early twentieth century, and its beaches offer waves suited to beginners as well as more experienced surfers. A team session starts on the sand with a safety briefing and technique, then continues in the water, with instructors supporting each small group. The challenge is practical: standing up, keeping balance and encouraging one another.
Sessions go ahead only when conditions are suitable. The Basque coast can change quickly, so the schedule is confirmed on the day, and a land-based alternative is prepared.
