From €170 per person

Housed in a former railway station on the Left Bank, the Musée d'Orsay holds the most complete collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist painting in the world. A private guide takes your group through the key rooms, from the Barbizon School and Manet to Monet, Renoir, Degas and Van Gogh, with a focus on the themes your audience cares about.

Private access is arranged directly with the museum. Depending on the calendar, we can offer a closed-hours visit, a reserved guided tour during public hours, or a private evening event where the museum agrees. We confirm the format only once it is approved.

The station's great clock room and the restaurant on the upper level make a natural setting for a welcome reception or a short networking break.

Objectives

  • Experience the finest Impressionist collection in a historic setting
  • Connect art history with the story of Paris in the nineteenth century
  • Create a shared cultural moment for the group

How it works

  1. 1We request the format that suits your group (closed-hours, reserved slot or evening event) from the museum.
  2. 2Once approved, we agree the route with the guide, based on your themes and timing.
  3. 3The group is welcomed at a private entrance, with the guide leading the tour.
  4. 4The visit lasts about 90 minutes, followed by free time in the galleries or the café.
  5. 5A reception or private lunch in the area can be arranged on request.

Good to know

  • Admission and any closed-hours supplement are charged separately, under the museum's conditions.
  • Private formats depend on the museum's calendar of exhibitions and events; we cannot guarantee a given date.
  • Large groups are usually split into two guided sub-groups.
  • The museum is largely step-free, but some galleries are upper-level; ask us about accessibility needs in advance.

Indicative budget

Indicative: from about €170 per person for a private guided tour of a group of 15 to 25, excluding museum admission and any supplement. Exact quote on request.

Frequently asked questions

Is a closed-hours visit of the Musée d'Orsay possible?

It can be requested, but the museum decides case by case. If a closed-hours slot is not available, we propose a private guided tour during public hours or a reserved evening format where the museum agrees.

Which artists will we see?

The collection covers French painting from about 1848 to 1914, including Manet, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cézanne and Van Gogh. The guide adapts the route to your group's interests, and the exact works on display depend on the museum's rotation.

Can we add a private dinner?

Yes. We can combine the visit with a reception or a private dinner in Paris, subject to venue availability. We recommend briefing us on the number of guests and the budget at the same time as the visit request.
