The Grande Île of Strasbourg is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and its compact streets, canals and half-timbered houses make it an excellent setting for a walking challenge. Teams receive a map and a set of clues that lead them to landmarks such as the cathedral square and the Petite France quarter.

The route is designed to finish in the old town, so that the group can gather easily for a final ceremony or a dinner. Stages are adapted to the time of year, since the city is busier during the Christmas market and in summer.

Objectives

  • Discover a historic city through a team challenge
  • Encourage communication and map reading
  • Create a shared route that every team experiences
  • Finish in the old town for a relaxed group moment

How it works

  1. 1Briefing on the map, the clues and the rules
  2. 2Teams walk the route, solving clues at each landmark
  3. 3Checkpoints with facilitators for scoring and short tasks
  4. 4Final gathering in the old town, with results and a toast

Good to know

  • The walk is mainly on cobbled streets and flat ground; comfortable shoes are essential
  • Some stages involve narrow streets and steps; facilitators adapt the route for mobility needs
  • A rain plan is prepared, with a shorter route if necessary
  • The old town is busy during the Christmas market and summer weekends, so timings are adjusted

Indicative budget

Indicatively from €50 to €75 per person excluding VAT, including facilitation and materials. Refreshments, lunch and any museum entry are priced separately.
