Lake Annecy is one of the most admired lakes in the Alps, framed by the Bauges and Aravis mountains. Its calm waters suit paddling challenges at every fitness level. Teams take to stand-up paddle boards and kayaks for relay races, tactical courses marked by buoys and a navigation task that asks each crew to reach a point on the far shore together.
The programme is adapted to the wind, which can change quickly on the lake. Equipment and instruction are included, and the group moves at a pace set by the instructors.

Frequently asked questions
Do participants need previous paddling experience?
No. Instructors teach the basics before any challenge, and the courses are designed for beginners as well as experienced paddlers.
Is the activity possible in the cooler months?
Yes, in autumn and spring, with suitable clothing. Winter sessions depend on conditions and are confirmed on the day.
Can the challenge be combined with a visit to the old town?
Yes. Annecy's old town and canals are a short distance from the lake, and a visit can be added before or after the challenge.
