Group size
6–24 pax

From €110 per person

The Luberon combines hilltop villages, quarries, vineyards and, in season, lavender fields in a compact area around Apt, Gordes and Roussillon. A guided ride lets the group see the landscape at a pace that allows conversation, and it avoids the long road transfers that often take up a day in Provence.

Routes are set according to the group's level. Electric bicycles are offered so that participants of different fitness levels can ride together, and a support vehicle can follow when needed. The group stops at viewpoints and villages, and the route ends at a lunch table in a village or on a farm. The format suits a team day in Provence, a partner programme during a convention, or a relaxed morning before an afternoon session.

Objectives

  • Show a region at a pace that allows conversation
  • Mix fitness levels with electric bicycles and a support vehicle
  • Combine an active morning with a long village lunch
  • Avoid long road transfers within a day of programme

How it works

  1. 1We confirm the group size, the level of riding and the lunch preference, then plan the route accordingly.
  2. 2Bicycles, helmets and a short briefing on traffic and safety are provided at the start point.
  3. 3The guide leads the group through the villages, with stops at viewpoints, vineyards or a local producer.
  4. 4Lunch is served in a village restaurant or on a farm, booked in advance.
  5. 5The group returns to the start point or is transferred to the next item of the programme.

Good to know

  • Summer heat can be intense. Rides are often scheduled in the morning or late afternoon from June to August.
  • Lavender flowers in early summer, but the landscape changes through the year, and the vineyards are at their most colourful in autumn.
  • Participants should be comfortable riding on quiet roads and in small groups. A short test ride is offered at the start.
  • Bring sun protection, water and comfortable clothing. Electric bicycles are limited in number and should be booked early.

Indicative budget

Indicative, from around €110 per person excluding VAT for a guided half-day ride including bicycle, helmet and guide. Lunch, transfers, the e-bike supplement and a private support vehicle are quoted separately.

Frequently asked questions

Do participants need to be experienced cyclists?

No. Routes are chosen for the least experienced rider, and electric bicycles are available so that the group can ride together.

Is the route safe on the roads?

The guide chooses quiet roads and tracks where possible, and leads the group in single file on busier sections.

Can the ride include a vineyard visit?

Yes. Many tours include a stop at a Luberon estate for a tasting, subject to the producer's opening hours and availability.
